October All Over
October All Over formed in the summer of 2003 and have been in the business of making noise ever since. Rocksound magazine tips them for 2006.
The Strange Death Of Liberal England
The strange death of liberal england is six different people with five different names the strange death of liberal england is stop/go happy/sad forward/forward the strange death of liberal england play instruments with varying ability and make more noise than silence the strange death of liberal England are influenced by lonely people in a flattened world the strange death of liberal England have something to say in not so many words. The Strange Death of Liberal England have recently received glowing reviews for their debut E.P. (The skill and diversity of instrumentation is brillianta breath of fresh air in these times of samey guitar bands The Fly) tracks off of which have been played on Radio 1 in the UK (Steve Lamacq) and the radio station CISM in Montral. This success has led to them being nominated as a Tip for 2006 by Drowned in Sound.
Electronic drums combine with fractured guitars to give host to textured, abrasive, evil, technoid post-rock/pop/punk for the apocalypse. With cues from: Mogwai/Nirvana/Godspeed You! Black Emperor. Served with a smile.
“Not content with wrecking turntables, Matthew Rozeik began composing music in 1999. The first few years were spent exploring and exorcising his musical conditioning, sculpting his own unique brand of electronically informed hip-hop beats, whilst injecting his love of all things rock into it. From the maelstrom emerged a tight, fluid and playful sound leading the listener through uncertain, yet rewarding territory. Combining violins, guitars, percussion and electronic beats, his music is forever shifting and leaping around, sometimes wholesome, sometimes dissonant. Along the way, Matthew has scored for short films and promos (work screened at the National Film Theatre, Munich Film Festival and BAFTA)” – I’m Mexico 2006
