I am in no way affiliated with indy.

The music they have so far is very varied. It started me off with some real bad lounge jazz, but it got better. Seriously.

I’ll have to give this a try, cheers.

Sounds vaguely like a less coporate version of Yahoo Launchcast, where you could rate bands so that it started playing you stuff like them.

The problem was that clearly it was owned by the labels so, while I was grateful to hear Sonic Youth’s ‘Anagrama’ (and subsequently bought the full EP) the number of hideous coporate Emo-bollocks US mid-west shit that kept being sent to you was very dubious.

You’d look back and see that it was recommended to you because some clueless moron who happened to like Creep had rated Radiohead top just as they’d rated this piece of shit. I was left wondering if:
    (a) People simply have bad taste, or
    (b) The record companies would pick a band they liked and then use ghost profiles to rate tonnes of popular bands alongside them to make X piece of shit band get pulled by the system.

Probably it’s a case of both.

    Cheers
