SINGLE REVIEW: Twisted Charm – London Scene

The 00’s equivalent to the 90’s Blur, minus the comical
personifications of Albarn, plus a modernised perceptiveness if with a slightly darker twist. London Scene ? is a rejuvenating turn on Brit pop tradition.

Despite kicking off to a slow start, as the vocals come in the pace picks up dramatically well. In combining an unusual mixture of trumpets, drums and synth it captures the essence of London and it’s inhabitants well. The fast paced, loud and facetious vocals are something that all city dwellers can relate to.

B-side, Twisted Ambulance, while enigmatic provides a more nonchalant contrast throughout the vocals while maintaining the loud intensity of A-side London Scene ?
