SINGLE REVIEW: Wishing Well – Harrisons (Melodic) – Out August 22nd

Harrisons and their new single Wishing Well are a boisterous Maximo Park. The most blatant difference between the two being that Harrisons are far more direct to the punch.

The rapidly paced lyrics discuss the more typical topic of girl troubles but in a regretful stream of consciousness. The worded vocals dominate their accompanying instruments.

Harrisons’ past shows historette includes the more luxurious sides of St. Tropez strumming out the more well known sounds of American Pie to their disgustingly rich audience of pristine passers by. Or rather, as they put it; “we did three months in St. Tropez playing American Pie and raking it in!” Harrisons, regardless of which, persisted with their own songs and have now been adopted into the enthused Melodic family.

Catch them on their promotional tour on the following dates:

Wigan, Club Nirvana – Wednesday, 17th August
Hull, Adelphi – Thursday, 18th August
Leeds, Faversham – Saturday, 20th August
Sheffield, Boardwalk – Wednesday, 24th August
Manchester, The Rampant Lion (Akoustik Anarkhy) – Saturday 27th August (notable for their debuting of Nine Black Alps)

See http://www.harrisonroad.co.uk/ for a soon to be upgraded website, no doubt courtesy of their sugar Daddy’s at Melodic, bless em.
